MCEE is produced by the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH), the Corporation of Master Pipe Mechanics of Quebec (CMMTQ), the Corporation of Master Electricians of Quebec (CMEQ), and the Corporation des entreprises en traitement de l’air et du froid (CETAF).

 

Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH)

Founded in Montreal in 1933, CIPH is a not-for-profit trade association that is committed to providing members with the tools for success in today’s competitive environment. This influential Canadian industry association has more than 280 member companies. Members are the manufacturers, wholesaler distributors, master distributors, manufacturers’ agents, and allied companies who manufacture and distribute plumbing, heating, hydronic, PVF (pipe, valves and fittings), waterworks, and other mechanical products. CIPH wholesalers operate more than 700 warehouses and showrooms across Canada. Total industry sales exceed $7 billion annually and CIPH members employ more than 25 000 people from coast to coast to coast.

Corporation of Master Pipe Mechanics of Quebec (CMMTQ)

Created in 1949 by the Master Pipe Mechanics Act, the Corporation of Master Pipe Mechanics of Quebec (CMMTQ) brings together more than 2750 specialized contractors working in the field of building mechanics, particularly in plumbing and heating.

Over the years, technological advances have led to the integration of mechanical systems and master pipe mechanics have become one of the most critical components in the construction industry. In order to support its members and proactively contribute to the evolution of the environment, the CMMTQ has established itself as a vital force in the construction industry.

Corporation of Master Electricians of Quebec (CMEQ)

Since 1950, the Corporation of Master Electricians of Quebec (CMEQ) protects the public. It verifies and controls the qualification of its members to ensure their probity and competence. It regulates and disciplines their professional conduct. The CMEQ issues the Subcategory 16 contractor’s license to perform electrical work in Quebec. Master electricians of Quebec must be members of the Corporation.

The CMEQ’s mission is to protect the public. In fact, it verifies and controls the qualification of its members to ensure their probity and competence. It regulates and disciplines the professional conduct of electrical contractors and provides its members with the services they need in the performance of their duties.

Corporation des entreprises de traitement de l’air et du froid (CETAF)

The CETAF is a non-profit corporation. Membership is voluntary; the association represents Quebec companies involved in the sales, installation, maintenance, repair, modification and dismantling of air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, control; all that is related to air treatment and refrigeration.
